yes I think I did but had to share the loo with six other family's no bath room just a tub in front of the fire and the Birmingham mail has loo paper so you could read at the same time that if you had a candle to take with you in the dark

you can knock b/heath has much as you like and it had a bad name but not has much as Ladywood has kids it was a good place to grow up we become street wise we could be found trading fag cards with each other (turf) foot ballers pictures we would sit and make things and some times we would make our own fireworks they call them bombs to day
weed killer and sugar a pop bottle was not a bottle it was money to us an old pram well that was a gift the things we could make with that and the days of fun it would give us a gas lamp was a swing or a place to meet when it was dark and a fire can would keep us warm on a cold night when we was out playing I could go on but im sure you would know and remember if you was bourn in the 40s
