Disgraced PR guru Max Clifford was blasted by a judge for his arrogance as he was jailed for eight years for a string of indecent assaults on four women.
The 71-year-old finally fell from grace after decades influencing the media when he was convicted of eight counts of the crime, carried out between 1977 and 1984, on Monday.
Passing sentence at Southwark Crown Court today, Judge Anthony Leonard told him his personality and position in the public eye were the reasons his crimes were not revealed earlier. max gets 8 years max

are our streets safe do you feel safe
Almost 4,000 convicted migrants who should have been put on a plane home are still walking the streets.
Most were able to stop their removal by claiming a “right to a family life” under the Human Rights Act.
Their numbers soared by a fifth in the past year, despite promises by ministers.
Tory Philip Davies said: “These figures are shocking. They highlight what a fiasco human rights laws are.
“It seems they protect the rights of rapists and murderers, rather than hard-working British people.”
Fellow Tory backbencher Jacob Rees-Mogg added: “Foreign criminals who commit major crimes should be deported unless there are exceptional circumstances.”
British law says foreigners jailed for 12 months or more can be deported when their sentences are up.
But many launch human rights challenges.
Home Office figures obtained under the Freedom of Information Act show that 3,937 foreign criminals are at large in Britain after successfully appealing against deportation. Most committed relatively minor crimes. But a handful are terror suspects or gangsters.

would you pay to see your doctor
Could you be charged up to £25 just to see your GP? Doctors to vote on making patients pay for appointments The fee would be the first since the NHS was founded in 1948
Missed appointments cost the NHS £160million a year One GP said a morning's work was lost when 14 failed to turn up It is feared however that charging would stop patients seeking help
what do you think?

A Transport Select Committee report said investment needs to increase “substantially” during the next decade.
Traffic levels on motorways and A roads are predicted to rise 46 per cent by 2040.
MPs warned that revenue from fuel duty and vehicle excise duty is likely to drop, meaning road expenditure will “require new funding streams”.
One option would be continental-style toll charges on new roads or the use of tracking devices to charge vehicles for every mile they travel.
AA president Edmund King said: “Drivers are not ready to have tolls introduced.
“It is not that they think that tolls are bad. They just do not trust any government to introduce a fair system.”
The Department for Transport has ruled out tolls for now.
WOULD YOU BE HAPPY TO PAY A ROAD TOLL or is it another was of hitting the motorists in the pockets

I certainly wouldn't be prepared to pay any further taxation in the way of road tolls, whilst only a small percentage of the road fund licence charges that are being collected are spent on the roads. The other thing is, why with all the money that has been spent on the technology that goes in cars are there still so many drivers still driving about in cars with no road tax paid?
