Most over-70s are 'uncomfortable' about homosexuality a report in the paper today said
in a interview with the ukip leader he was defending one of his supporters who has strong religious beliefs
we live in a free country and you can believe what you like that is not a crime or is it?
any one care to comment?

I think he has got it right, most people aged over 70 never had much to do with gay people when they were growing up, as such things were kept behind closed doors. Therefore today if they see a gay couple of either sex who are openly gay it makes them feel uncomfortable. Though just because it makes them feel a little uncomfortable or embarrassed it does not mean they think it is wrong or they are against it. It just means that perhaps in their lifetime they will never get used to it.
Just look at all those of the same age group that were brought up in an Imperialistic, Colonialist racist background who have had to re-educate themselves into accepting the equality of the races and sexes most of them have managed it, but there are those that haven't.
